Old Technology

• Traditional nanospray emitter designs are prone to clogging, loss of valuable signal, and frustrating downtime..  As a result operators have expressed the need to constantly baby-sit instruments and to often tweak the system.   

• Different tips with different tapered bore sizes are required for applications requiring different flow rates.  This necessitates tedious recalibration of the system every time emitters are exchanged.

• Few tips satisfactorily work out of the box. High variability in tip to tip performance requires much effort to find tips that work out of the box and to calibrate the system.

AIMS Technology

• plug and spray and walk away.

• go from microflow to nanoflow electrospray using the same emitter, resulting in less downtime.

• desalt and concentrate your sample on-line.
